Celebrate National 529 Day in May! And enter our $529 drawing.
In honor of National 529 Day on May 29th, any Vermont resident or any VHEIP account owner can enter a drawing during the month of May for a chance at a $529 deposit into a new or existing VHEIP college savings account. Sign up for the $529 drawing (see the official rules below).
Start now to build for a child’s future. By opening a college savings account — even with just $25 to start — you’ll be creating opportunities for your child. Research shows that students from families who save even small amounts for education are three times more likely to go on to and complete college or other training after high school. Plus, with VHEIP, Vermont taxpayers are eligible to get a Vermont state income tax credit on their contributions.
It’s easy to open a VHEIP account. Any individual who is a U.S. citizen or resident alien and has a Social Security Number or federal Taxpayer Identification Number may open a VHEIP account and contribute to VHEIP on behalf of any beneficiary. Vermont state residency is not required. You can even open an account for yourself! And you can invite others to make gifts of any amount to your college savings accounts, too.
Choose from two convenient ways to enroll, or give us a call and we’ll help you get started. Be sure to read the Disclosure Booklet.
